This song itself was released in 1976 and nominated for a Grammy. It was used in a great bar scene from the movie The Deer Hunter.

I was introduced to the music of Bobby Bare by my good friend Jeff Orr in high school. We spent lots of time drinking to his music and he could very well be responsible for the enjoyment I have for country music. Thanks Jeff!

This particular version has a third verse which isn't included on my iPod but may soon replace the version I do have.
